Strange noise from rear

Featured Replies

Hello everybody.
I have a 2012 mk3 focus and it had rencently developed some strange noises coming from the rear of the car.
it only comes out when I drive over roads that have a rough surface or when I go over speed bumps.

I tried to look for the source of the sound by checking for anything loose underneath the car or inside the boot but I couldn’t find anything. I took a video of the sound as well so I hope someone can identify what could be causing it.

I can't hear anything odd on the video.  First check for rough road 'rattle' on a Focus would be rear drop links.

I know mine is a Mk2, but this is what the cause of my rear suspension clunking was over bumps...

You might be right because your description of the noise is exactly how I would explain it.
