Is it difficult to remove the sump on a 2014 focus 1.0 eco boost?

I’ve seen a video of doing it on a fiesta 1.0 eco boost and it seemed ok.

I’m thinking of taking the sump of to check if the oil pump pick up is getting clogged.

    I've not done the job myself but I understand that part of the exhaust has to be removed or that might only be on the Fiesta - rusty seized up bolt issues. The sump itself should be an easy removal.

    You would save yourself a lot of bother by draining the Oil and filtering it.

    If the belt is starting to break up then there will be plenty of bits of it floating around in the Oil.
