Hi all, I went shopping in tesco, when leaving tesco my car didn't start, it sounded like dead battery, I tried to jump start it but nothing was happening, so I called rac and the guy said that my cambelt is broke but done no checks at all, and towed me home.after two days I tried to start my car and it started twice but didn't drive it as I don't know what's wrong with it.could it be cambelt even if my car started after??? My car is a ford focus ecoboost 2013.thanks everyone

If it starts and runs it definitely can't be a broken cambelt.

Yup! the very good news is the cam belt has not broken otherwise you would be looking at a new engine. The RAC guy should hang his head in shame 😧

Have you checked the car battery with a multimeter to see what the terminal voltage is ?

Is it still the original factory fitted battery? if it is then you need to replace it.
