Engine code differences ecoboost

Featured Replies

I have a Ford fiesta ST line 2017 1.0 ecoboost. The engine needs replacing, the engine code I have is M1JL, I'm told as long as I put in a M1J engine the last digit is irrelevant and the engine will still fit and run in my car.

Can anyone confirm this?

Please only answer if you've got a direct answer to the qquestion.

For example - Yes, I had to replace my engine which was a m1jl with a m1ju and it runs fine.

Depends if you're 100, 125 or 140.

If you're a 140 then you can only fit a donor engine from another 140

100 and 125 are interchangeable, apart from the turbo
