Totally devoid of life - Galaxy 2010 2L diesel Instrument Cluster.

Featured Replies

Purchased Galaxy in August, everything fine then the Instrument Cluster died after 3 months. No illumination, no gauges, no speedo, no rev counter, no led. Sent off for inspection and repair. Fault identified including ABS had been blocked out. All repaired, returned, fitted…..nothing. Fuses all good, got a good live and earth at connector, anything else is beyond my skillset, particularly without a diagram to follow which I can’t find for love nor money.
My historical ‘self service’ Fords have been Anglia 105E, Cortina’s Mk1 1200, Mk 2 1300 and 1500GT, Mk 3 2000E, Mk4 2L Ghia……..Then it went to company cars which were done for me…..redundancy changed all that….ho hum…..any advice or direction would be helpful but please keep it simple, it certainly ain’t no pinto under the bonnet.

Did you buy the car from a garage ?

If so your car is still covered by the Sale of Goods (or what ever new name it now has). In the UK you get cover for 6 months, not just the 3 months a garage  will tell you.

If you are needing to repair this fault yourself then you are going to need a laptop and FORScan.

FORScan (free for laptop use): https://forscan.org/download.html

Bought from a car dealer, garage might be a loose term but certainly not a private purchase. Don’t think I have the correct skillset. I’ll check into the sale of goods suggestion before I book an auto electrician.

Any updates

Not that can see 🤔

I meant had Paul managed to sort out his problem/issue??

Paul, @PButl last visited the forum 30th January 2023. I think it might be quite some time before they check back in.
