Could anyone give me a bit of info on what this guy in the video is doing? No washers for the headlights, no ballasts and other bits missing. I have seen a few people comment on how this kind of setup would not pass MOT etc?

    The video is from January 2012. MOT rules were different then to what they are now.

    True the headlights have no washers. The video is about fitting the lights.

    Approx 20 seconds in to the video the guy tells you that they are the standard Ford headlights with the ballast fitted. What other bits are missing ?

    Can you change the headlights and pass an MOT, not now.

    Unless you have a friendly MOT inspector 😉 retro-fitting LED or HID bulbs will now fail an MOT. 

    4.1.4 Headlamps - Compliance with requirements -  'Existing halogen headlamp units should not be converted to be used with high intensity discharge (HID) or light emitting diode (LED) bulbs. If such a conversion has been done, you must fail the headlamp.'
