Engine malfunction and traction control loght

Featured Replies

Hello, I’ve got a 2013 Ford focus 1.6tdci. I’ve recently had an issue where it goes into limp mode, engine malfunction comes up and traction control light. On the test board on the dash board it comes up with ‘no dtc’. Could anyone help?

If it does it when you try to accelerate vigorously it could be a blocked fuel filter (especially if it is more than 60k miles since it was last changed).

But the real answer is to get the engine's fault codes read and diagnosed.

That's not really a useful test unfortunately.  The DTC's need to be read through OBD, ideally with Forscan.
