Hi all, I've got an ongoing fault with the headlights on my 2016 Focus. I randomly get a warning on the dash display 'Headlamp malfunction , service required'.

I've read quite a few posts regarding the wiring inside the lamps breaking, and I've gone ahead and replaced the connectors within the lamps, but the fault still occurs now and again.

It tends to happen when in traffic or when in close proximity to objects ( car parks, walls, fences). The only thing I can see wrong is the N/S beam pattern tends to bounce fractionally when close to an object, almost like the headlight is trying to refocus.

Before going down the route of a dealer, and possibly new headlamps. Has anyone had these symptoms or seen this fault ?
