Mk 4 Focus front right ABS sensor

Featured Replies

I have done a forscan check as I have ABS, traction control warning lights on, the fault code is C0034  faulty  front  right hand wheel speed sensor mechanical failure.

I have 11 volts at the speed sensor plug, I have removed the  8mm retaining bolt but cannot pull out the sensor. Youtube  posts show people just removing them without much effort, has any other member had any trouble?

I have ordered a ford replacement which will take 4 weeks as it will have to come from Germany, no UK stocks available.

Thanks.

Finally removed the old and fitted a new ABS wheel speed sensor, cleared the fault codes. ABS lights went out O.K. Drove the car and ABS and traction control lights came on after short while.  Did a forscan check and now getting fault code C0033 R/H/F tone wheel faulty. The tone wheel is built into the wheel bearing so this is turning into a more complex fix.
