Automatic box not changing up

Featured Replies

Hi folks ,I have a 2010 1.6 petrol automatic.  Having a bit of bother with it changing up through the gears . Ive had it plugged into a code reader and it came up with the following fault codes;

p0732 gear 2 incorrect ratio p0767 shift solonoid "D" stuck on p0981 shift solonoid "D" control circuit. And help greatly appreciated.

The easiest poss fix is a flush and fresh transmission fluid, if accesible also a filter change. Other than that replace said solenoids could get expensive.

As the fluid hasn't been changed regularly, if at all, the solenoids are clogged up,

Remove the solenoid body, you have to remove the sump on these to change the filter anyway, remove each solenoid and soak and clean with solvent, fit new filter, refit sump and refill with fresh oil.

Ford state sealed for life, but you should, ideally, change the fluid at 40,000 miles
