Hello everyone, 

last week I purchased a 66 plate focus. It stated it came with satnav however, the satnav doesn’t work. I’ve looked and it doesn’t appear to have an SD card, I’ve also spoken to Ford about updating the car to sync 3 and they said I need a SD card. Should my car have came with this or is this something I will need to pay for? 

someone stole it - go on ebay and buy a new memory card with current 2022 mapping - you will be shocked how cheap one's that work just like the original function perfectly well.... but you'll have 6 year newer mapping

dealers never help upgrade cars (its beyond their skills and they only like to sell new vehicles, not improve older cars)

when fitting it is tight and goes in horizontally - the design tries to make it load at 45 degree angle - that is wrong it won't work and you may damage something

Thankyou! Fortunately I have warranty which covers the satnav so I’m thinking if I put a claim in through these they may provide one, just wanted to be sure it should’ve had one in the first place before I look silly. 

might cover the working of (not the maps)....   and at best they'd find some 6 years old map they stole out of another customers car....
