Ford Galaxy 2007 Radio Issue

Featured Replies

Hi guys I have a problem I've scratched me head scratched me bum and I'm struggling I have a aftermarket radio as needed something a bit better anyway pesky Red, Yellow wires. Yellow wire is the always on reading 12+v on and engine off perfect.... Red wire now here is the issue its reading about 0.56v when key in on position, if that up and down never straight this is meant to be 12+v when engine is on when off reads nothing as should be. Checked fuses everything is fine plug old Ford stereo back in and it works aftermarket one won't but its not the stereo coz if I plug the red into the constant yellow it fires up

On most Fords the auxiliary 12 volt on with ignition is the yellow wire. The red wire is constant live, but things change and it's a long time since I worked on a Galaxy.

Yeh definitely on wire diagram it's definitely yellow for always on which it is and the red is too low the voltage is totally wrong so won't fire the stereo up
