Shell V-power shortage?

Hadn’t filled my car up since early November due to being poorly for a while - but now finding that none of the Shell garages in my area (Cheshire/Merseyside) have V-power available. Even out on a bike ride further afield I passed a Shell garage and could see pump nozzles out of use. 
 

Anyone got the story behind this? Seen a tweet from Shell saying ‘some garages are experiencing short-term delivery issues’ but think that’s not telling the full story if it’s been a widespread shortage for some time?

    Apparently it also contains no Ethanol. 

    Anyway, I can't comment about V-power as the station I use don't sell it. However it's normally the cheapest (Shell) in my area for normal fuels. I also have a Shell (Go+) card too get loyalty points and rewards.
