Mk2 2005 focus if I want to change the original mirrors to the ones with indicators in do I need to install new wiring?

    I think all you need to do is extend the wires from the wing indicators to the door mirrors. I may be wrong though.

    Everything was a "10 minute job" to begin with, even if it ended up taking all weekend to complete.

    I would imagine that’s right but as the door opens and closes and the mirror is mounted on the door you need to route the wires somewhere where it can flex but not get caught / broken. Not a ten minute job.

    Indeed, I once had an auto folding mechanism installed on a previous car, and the additional wire was installed in the factory wiring loom & conduit already situated in the door/frame. Door card stripped and a wrestling match to thread wire through LOL
