Hi does anyone know if I can lock my Ford Focus 2013 tdci, without activating the alarm as it’s going off randomly. Thanks Russ

You can deactivate interior sensors on the cluster (on my 2017) before you get out or, if not, if you just press the remote once, it just locks and sets perimeter alarm, no double locking, no interior sensors

Thanks for the reply, I don’t think it’s the interior sensors setting the alarm off, I’ve had on occasions the bonnet open alarm on the dash warning and read this is common, so I’m guessing the 2 are linked, I just wondered if I could turn the alarm off for now until I replace the bonnet catch

You can deactivate the alarm with forscan

FORScan should be able to tell you what is causing the Alarm to go off.

In the absence of any diagnosis and if you think it is the Bonnet Catch then a short term fix is to remove the Electrical connector and hot wire it by joining the Conductors together, a Paper Clip might do.

Don't forget to Insulate and secure it.
