FOCUS 1.5TDCI STICKY CLUTCH PEDAL

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I have Focus 15 plate 1.5 tdci. 52k miles. Recently i noticed that clutch pedal would feel sticky on the way back at just before half way point its a feel like you would put your hand on a stikcy surface and try to pull it back. Pedal always comes back to  normal position never gets stuck at any pont. It doesnt feel spongy or stiff, gears seem to be engaging well. This stickiness would ppear and dissapear for sometime and then eventually would come back once or twice and dissapear again. Only thing i have done recently is got brake fluid changed. Any suggestion what could it be ?

I would suspect that either the system needs bled, or changing the fluid has caused a problem with the clutch cylinder seals.

Other than that clutch feels like any other day. All these movements are extremely minor but it feels
