Headlight connector Ford Focus mk4

Featured Replies

Hi,

I bought a headlight which broke in shipping (see pictures) and the connector in the headlight is broken and loose. Is there any way replacing this connector?

Thank you in advance!

Will the connector still latch?

No, because the connector in the headlight is also loose. When i try to plug the connector from the car, the connector on the headlight goes into the headlight.

I can push this connector in the headlight in.

Take the rubber bung off and hold the connector from the inside while you connect.

Will it latch then?

It will latch yes but the connector wont hold on because the click that i hear when i connect the other headlight is not there, like the picture shows, it is broken on the bottom 😞

Other than that, does the headlamp work?

Drill a small hole top and bottom, connect wiring into connector and latch, seat with a cable tie in holes, seal holes

And if that does not work, will i be able to take the connector out of the headlight and wire a new plug or is the headlight just ruined?

Yep, it'll work though, I've done it before, better than buying a new headlamp.

Connect, bodge, forget👍
