Ford EcoSport 1.0L

Featured Replies

Hi everyone new to this page, just looking for some advice on my 1.0L EcoSport it went to the garage because I had engine malfunction come up, they did a diagnosis on it and it came back my trubo was over heating, it seems fine now just wondering why would my trubo be over heating I never had any problems before

Hello Sandra, you might want to search these forums for the stories about the infamous Ecoboost 1.0 engine.

The turbo overheating might be the signs of oil starvation. If you see signs of the oil warning light taking longer to go out after starting the engine then you are possibly in the early stages of timing belt failure, which blocks up the oil strainer.

Are you sure it said overheating, not overboosting?
