Gear selector snapped

Had no luck with my Focus recently, put it in reverse and it snapped the connection between the gear selector and the linkage hahaha

I thought my gearbox had gone at first because the stick went floppy and didn’t do anything

Seen the whole unit on eBay for £25 but I don’t know if there’s a simpler fix? Part number 8M5R7C453AKA

Might just get one from a scrapyard don’t know yet

You can see below where the plastic piece has snapped on the gear stick and linkage connector thingy
