Heating only works on max settings

Featured Replies

My heating only works if push the "max" button, putting the air-con on and blower to max. It used to get hot after 1 minute, now it is cold for at least 10-15.

I followed a number of guides (such as on this forum) and the problem always points to the resistor pack.

I bought the resistor pack but then I found that in the same place, it's a different part (see attachment). Is this a resistor pack but a different type?

I have a Fiesta Titanium 2009 built (registered Jan 10). Any thoughts?

Thanks!

If the problem is that it takes a long time for the engine/car to warm up then it is likely to be the thermostat.

If the problem is simply that the blower fan only runs on speed 4 and does not run on settings 1-3 then you do need a new resistor pack.

For example this from Amazon is the same as yours:
