Multi electrical faults on Focus Saloon Mk2 (2006 reg)

The following electrical faults happened at the same time on my Focus 1.6 petrol sallon.

Indicators stopped working

Central Locking stopped working

Boot lid would not unlock

Courtesy lights in passenger and driver footwells would not go out

Interior light would not go off when doors shut

Brake warning light illuminated on dash

Everything else electrical worked OK inc lights, radio and starter motor

Any suggestions as to what has gone wrong?

    Failure of the GEM

    Normally caused by water ingress in to the connectors and the GEM unit itself. Disconnect the negative lead from the battery before investigating.
