I'd never have a manual again as long as I can drive

Entirely your personal preference, which is absolutely fine by me.

We'll all have to go 2 pedal eventually anyway, the way things are going!😃

or as is the case with some Nissan's (and probably others) One Pedal driving is now the norm !!!

They do have a separate brake but in most applications it's not used.

"ZF are the best" - very true - I am running a fully kitted 70 plate BMW G20 320i M Sport 2 litre petrol and the ZF, compared to the 2015 to 2018 F30 model is unbelievably so much better with the few modifications BMW have done, you never know its changed gear other than seeing a change on the rev counter, averaging 46 to the gallon as well, who needs diesel or electric - keep running out of excuses as to why I need to go out in the car.

The thing that really bugs me about my 2021 Titanium X auto is that it doesn't have an auto hand brake and still has complex rear drum brakes.  If you have an auto handbrake you don't have this messing around with neutral etc. With my wife's auto VW Golf you just stop at traffic lights, take your foot off the brake and the car doesn't move until you press the accelerator. I still think that Fiesta's  are excellent  cars but are quite dated in some ways; perhaps this is one of the reasons Ford is stopping making them. BTW, in this day and age, I think that manual gear changing is a much overated pastime - but I don't want to start this conversation up yet again!!!!

True, but the Golf is the next class up from a Fiesta. DSG equipped Polos are a fairer comparison and they still have a manual handbrake like the Fiesta.

Yes, I'm sure that you are correct - it's all to do with the concept of 'product placement' and convincing people that there's always something better than what you;ve got.

Hi Bert

My late built 2022 Titanium X auto has disc brakes at the rear as well, they must have had a change of heart between the two years.

Thanks for that - how annoying! As I said, there's always something better!
