2014 Focus ST3 - Water ingress and battery dying.

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

Having some issues, found a pool of water around the spare wheel under the boot carpet and also I sometimes get small drips of water coming from the sunglass holder on the roof in the front cabin, but that's minor compared to the water in the boot. My windscreen also gets soaking wet every day in winter on the inside. I need to keep a towel in the car for it.

I'm also having issues with the battery completely dying on me, happened last winter too. This battery is only 6 months old. I've found sometimes the boot pops open and all the lights come on when the car is locked. I also noticed a little water under the battery, in the battery tray, though the top of the battery and everything else seemed fine there.

I don't know if this is an electical fault related to the water ingress? Any tips on what to do about these issues?

Thanks

This was the cause of my puddle of water...
