GERNICK
My dashboard direction indicator light is flashing at least double the speed of the exterior lamp indicators. I have checked the external indicator flashing speed which is normal, and all bulbs are working. It's rather annoying as I'm worried a bulb may have blown, but there's nothing obvious. Any clues? unofix
Have you replaced any of the lamps with LED's ? Are the side repeater indicators (mounted on the mirrors) working ? When you use the Hazard lights does the warning lights flash at the correct speed ?
DaveT70
As unofix has mentioned, ensure non of the bulbs are LEDs and no bulbs have popped, including side repeaters
Jimpster
its called hyperflash caused by fitting incompatile non canbus bulbs
GERNICK
Thank you all. The Warning/hazzard lights flash at the correct rate. All bulbs were as I received the vehicle, so no idea if any had ever been replaced. It's only just started after I charged the battery! 聽

Not that it should make any real difference to how the indicator warning lights behave, but did you reset the BMS after you changed the battery ?聽

GERNICK
The external indicators are flashing at the correct speed, and the dash panel at twice the speed !
unofix
Has the vehicle had a towbar fitted in the past that has now been removed ? Hyper flash of the indicator warning lights on the instrument cluster is a warning that the trailer module is faulty or disconnected. GERNICK
Yes, a towbar was fitted 10 months ago, and I put a pin convertor聽 into the EU standard 13 pin to 7 pin socket
unofix
Your Ford trailer module software is either not configured or is has been incorrectly configured. The BCM needs to know that the vehicle now has a towbar and that a trailer module is connected.
