10 year service costs, what can I expect?

Featured Replies

Next year my Fiesta (Ecoboost 2014), will be 10 years old. I looked up the Ford App and found that the service due this year and next year seem to require quite some replacement parts. Therefore, I am wondering what sort of costs I can expect at the 9th and 10th annual service? More so the latter one, as that seems to involve the timing belt being replaced.

Any tips gratefully received. As it will influence my decision on whether to keep the car or not.

Shouldn't be much on the 9th service?  Only extra is spark plugs I think?

10th service is likely to be £1500+ with the cambelt etc.

@TomsFocus thanks for the information. That's quite a repair bill for the 10th year, but perhaps I can live with it. If I get a few more years out of the car then its probably worth it, as it would beat the cost of getting a new(er) car.

Could you please advise what is this app? I can only find FordPass, which I see does not provide such a functionality.

It is the Ford Pass app. Go to service intervals.

Or you can also get the check sheets the garage use from here:

Only if you can find one that’ll do it. It’s not a simple job to change the wet belt and requires special tools.
