Just to follow up on my post above, a cursory check on eBay reveals a variety of torque multipliers now being sold at less than £100 (one example). This simply wasn't the case when I did mine as they were still specialist tools with a limited market. The longevity of these cheap offerings might be finite, but for occasional I am sure they will be absolutely fine. At that price I would not have hesitated in buying one myself.
