Had a cracked windscreen after a stone threw up from a passing truck ,thru LV insurance , cost me the £95 excess ( fitter said  they invoice the insurers approx £800-£900 for the  Ecosport i run !), although i think it will not affect my protected NCB, am i obliged to mention the claim when shopping around for insurance next time its due as it was not really an accident claim as such?

    You should declare it. They have a shared database anyway.

    I always thought the same claiming for windscreen replacement would that effect your claim history or premium prices.
