Hi,

 

currently i need to remover the front bumper off my transit custom PHEV, the question is do i need to make the vehicle safe by disconnecting the HV system ?

the reason for me asking is the charging point is in the front bumper tried to get method's from the OEM data sheets but no help.

    I would imagine the bumper fits after/over the charge port.

    So the answer would be no

    It's only if you are removing any component with the orange cable attached that you need to deactivate the HV circuit

    Bumper does fit over the top of the charger port and charge status led.
