Repair required. Rear end driver side

Hi all, any ideas how much this will cost to fix and what needs replacing, ie. a small part(s) or full section?

Ford fiesta, 61 plate, petrol.

The missing part is just a fog light, costs about £15 on ebay and very easy to change.

I can't tell if there's any bumper damage from those pictures?

Thanks, I don't think there is any bumper damage but inside on the right, the light holder bit appears broken, so if that comes as a part, I'd be needing that I'd imagine.

You mean the bulb holder?  Is the wiring damaged as well?  The genuine ones do come with the bulb holder for around £35.

Part  number is 1681882 if you want to check prices at your local Ford parts desk.

Yeah, wiring should be ok, thanks for the info.

I went to Halford's today they said I need a light cluster and would be needed to be fitted by the repairs section, not just a simple light change, so have booked this in. There was a delivery delay, so going tomorrow now to get it sorted.

It's booked in for "right tail light", is this the right one? They just took from what I said it was and didn't actually view 😯 so want to make sure.😳

Turns out they ordered the wrong unit so another couple of hours delay!

They sound pretty useless tbh...  Tail light cluster is the big one above the bumper with all the normal lights in it, brake, indicator, etc.  All you need is the fog light as I linked above.

I'm not aware of your circumstances but as long as you're agile enough to bend down this is a job you could probably have done yourself.  It really is very simple and should only require that one part.

Holy! I'd never entertain Halfords 🤔 Most of the so called mechanics are fools even seeing one guy taking the seal off on a Haynes manual to see how something should be fixed.

As Tom mentions, easy to fix if you are able & willing, also If you are mechanically minded I'm sure you'll be able to fix it yourself, the satisfaction in doing your own repairs will make you proud and you'll also save on labour costs, of course YOUTUBE is your friend here....

For my level of skill, I can just about change a reg plate bulb light sadly.

I plan to learn though and agree it is very satisfying.

I must have been lucky then, they seem to have done a decent job, touch wood.

Not a big fan of the video, music was ok though ☺️.
