harlequin_uk
Heya all. So managed to learn forscan , set up the sync1 (up from a basic radio) , switch on fog lights at teh front , and switch on cruise. woohoo now, passenger headlight dipped doesn`t work. Changed bulb and it still doesn`t work. Reverted all the changes from previous, and still not working. Help!

Swap it with the driver one which you know 100% works... If you've done that, and have access to a multimeter, see if you have 12v coming out the headlight connector.
harlequin_uk
yes i swapped the drivers side bulb ; the passenger one works in the drivers side. a few dct errors as well bcm and fdcim as well (related i think)
TomsFocus
Try resetting the BCM. Will be under 'procedures' if it's available.
harlequin_uk
Reset it and made no difference 😞 bcmii and fdcim have dct errors , something about configuration?

harlequin_uk
Yes, reloaded them and, no change. Plug entire headlight into drivers side and it works.
dontpannic
I can only think fuses or wiring then!
TomsFocus
I don't think the dipped beam is fused separately. Sounds like a CANBUS fault to me. Same sort of thing happens when adding LED lights. Essentially the CANBUS can't work out how much load should be on the circuit so can't illuminate all bulbs. If you've added fog lights that weren't there before, that could be causing the error. If they're easily accessible, just unplug them for now and try the reset again.
harlequin_uk
Just to update - it was a config error and me learning how to actually programme using FORscan properly.

The good news is you have found the problem and everything is now as it should be 👍
harlequin_uk
Aye, it might not be as true as i thought! It was the reset procedure when changing the fog lights and activating cruise , programming modules then resetting modules. The world is good now though!
