Smax not starting

Featured Replies

I'm having a weird issue which I can't figure out... A few time my car is unlocked with fob, interior lights come on but press start and no ignition.

My folding mirrors stay closed.

In the past iv left for 5mins then it's worked but currently stuck at school car park with no way to start the car

Fobs not responding. Took the blade out and tried putting in door but not sure if I need to take cap off

Could it be immobiliser? No dash lights at all, no stereo but interior lights working so I don't think it's car battery

Don't think it's immobiliser.  That flashes and beeps and shows a warning message on the dash.

Sounds like the BCM hasn't booted up correctly on unlock for some reason.  Could be low battery charge, poor electrical connection, loose battery terminals or possibly even just a module 'crash' as you'd get on a PC or Smartphone.

Have you got it running yet?

So after about 5 or 10mins I tried the fob again and it worked! Everything working as normal

So strange!
