Just had quite a lot of air con work done on my Fiesta (won't bore you for now...). Finally picked it up on Saturday and it seems restored to health. 

But... earlier on I tried the air recirculation button and, while the light comes on, I couldn't hear any additional sound (the recirculation has always seemed quite noisy to me on the mk8). 

If the recirculation has stopped working, do any of you good people have any idea what problem could be... fuse? Motor? If the motor, how easy is that to get to?

I’d say you might be able to tell if recirculation works by turning on the aircon after the engines been running a bit then seeing if you can feel it get colder with recirculating on. 

You might have to bore us about the work you had done...  Did any of it involve the HVAC box?

The flap isn't fused separately.  So if it's not working it's either wiring, flap damage or motor failed.

Forscan might be able to tell you if the flap is working.  VCDS always tells me the recirc flap is faulty on my Golf.  (Never use it so not interested in repairing!)

Am feeling like a right muppet now - popped out in the car earlier, tried the recirc and.... appears to be working fine. Press button and it's audible anyway. Perhaps I need to book a hearing / sanity test instead...🙄
