Updated sync to 3.4 etc and for site says map update available. Downloaded the 14.2Gb file after several attempts to a USB stick. ( having tried to do map updates via wi-fi which doesn't work- crap!)
Tried updating with engine off and engine on- both failed . Engine off fail- no idea why. Engine on- engine had stopped when I went back to check on progress. Local ford dealer said there's an option to stop engine turning off after 30 mins of Idle- can't find that anywhere in setup... maybe he meant turn off auto stop start ?
What tips /suggestions does anyone have for updating my maps from F10 to F11 ( or even 12???) that will actually work?

    There is an option in the drivers display on my car to temporarily disable the auto engine shut off.

    Otherwise, you'll need to sit in the car and wait.

    Another unofficial option is cyanlabs, just be sure to read ALL of the information before doing it. There are things you need to be aware of doing it that way. It will also still take about an hour, so you'll need to keep the engine on passed the 30 mins in any case.

    Use a battery charger, you will still need to monitor it so you can turn the ignition back on now and again. With Cyanlabs you will get F12 maps and 2023 firmware.
