Radiator fan constantly on at half temperature

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've got a Titanium X TDCI and when the temperature of the car gets to around 50%, the radiator fan comes on and does not turn off unless the engine is turned off. It does not matter whether climate controls are on or off.

I was thinking maybe something with the thermostat but I am not sure.

edit: The engine has sufficient coolant.

it could be your thermostat but sounds like your fan relay could be sticking. the temperature sensor is screwed into the cylinder head and is quite easy to change and not too expensive. this might be the easiest route at first.

Turns out it was the radiator shutter that malfunctioned.
