Ford Fiesta 2010 Head unit screen is just Black?

Featured Replies

Hello all, I entered my car two days ago and noticed that the Android head unit all of a sudden stopped working and just showed a black screen. Since then, I have been using the car with no audio, and no buttons working besides locking the car and the hazard warning lights. I had a quick check online and wanted to see if other people had suggestions and fixes for the problem.

So far, I have checked all the fuses, even the one in the head unit itself and unplugged and replugged all the cables.

I'm not really a novice car person, however, if anyone could provide a fix with a youtube video tutorial, that would significantly improve my confidence to have an attempt at the provided solution.

Also, I have had this head unit in my car for about a year now.

It's probably dead, but disconnect the main battery negative cable for 10 minutes and see if it comes back to life.

Sorry for the late response, I will have a go tonight. Also do I just disconnect the cable, wait 10 minutes, reconnect the cable and start the car?

Suppose you could try the Clarkson way and use a hammer. 😅 🪒
