hi all, recently the power window on the drivers side door stopped working got no idea as to why ive checked the fuses and took off the switch opened it up and couldnt see any damage, the passenger side window still works from the switch when pushing down i hear a click sound so im thinking the power window motor is dead or could it be something else? im currently in the process of taking apart the door and gotta pull off the foam(sound proofing material?) is there anyway of taking it off safely? assuming hair dryer to make the sealant loose? also what sealant should i get stick the foam back on or should i just tape it up instead? any tips or feedback here is welcomed, thanks in advanced

The wires connecting power to the motor are still working so guessing dead motor, checked with a test light, pretty sure the motor is dead got the whole window assembly out and reconnected the motor and still wouldnt move, tomorrow gonna start pulling apart the motor and probably give it a spray and clean and hope that will fix the problem, does look like the wheel where the wire coils on is stuck in place

took apart the assembly and after a lot of swearing got it back together mainly the cable was a pain in the ***** and seems to be working again, guessing the cable somehow came loose and got caught around the gear, tomorrow gonna put it back into the car and see if it continues to work fine
