Ford sync 3.4 update 3.4 22200

Featured Replies

Hi, When I got my Ford Focus 2020 it updated over wifi is currently on sync 3.4  Build 3.4.21194 since this update I lost all radio station logos.... So I checked for any other updates incase it was that. On my ford account its is telling me I have update 3.4 22200 available to download. But when I go on my wifi updates on car it says 'software up to date'.

I have tried downloading the update on to USB from FORD website and followed instructions of unzipping etc, however when I then plug usb into car I am getting error message. LST_ERR05

Any help would be greatly appreciated as its driving me insane where I can't work out where I am going wrong

Many Thanks

That error means it can’t find the files specified in autoinstall.lst.  Can you post some screenshots of the file and folder layout of your usb stick?

That’s looks like it has been extracted wrong. There should only be one folder Syncmyride. That should only contain tar.gz files.

You might need to find a different way to extract or use a windows machine.

Ok, ill try another way. The files are tar.gz before I unzip them. As soon as I unzip them they change to the files in previous post.

That is how it would look if unzipped. the 2 files and then sync folder containing tar.gz files

Don’t unzip the tar.gz. You only unzip the main download on to the root of the usb. Leave everything else as is.

The files in the syncmyride folder must stay compressed as tar.gz.

The files in the syncmyride folder also shouldn’t contain the part “syncmyride/“ in their file name. That’s their folder location not part of their name.

Cool, trying that now. Says updating software at top of screen in car. Fingers crossed it works

Did this sort itself out.

I have almost the same issue.

The only other problem for me is it sometimes gives me an error as though the hard drive is full and just gives me an error code. I will try and redownload and try the above.

The error message is different depending on the issue. There are lots of potential codes and it’s important to note the exact code to work out the issue. They are not all the same.

Hi, yeah once I had followed the steps alexp999 had said to try the update went through fine. The car is now updating to maps f11. However I have noticed my parking sensors aren’t working all the time nor the auto stop start. 🤔 could just be a coincidence tho. Will monitor and let you know

The parking sensors not working is probably something trivial, but Stop/Start not working could be quite serious !! 🤣
