EU Import of UK 2016 S-Max Titanium w/o Adjustable headbeams

Featured Replies

Hi fellow Ford owners!

I recently moved to Spain from Malta (And I'm Swedish if it matters!), and I have a UK Ford S-Max 2016 with RHD.

My problem is that I have RHD head beams, as well as driver-side rear fog light, and my car failed ITV inspection. So far the official Ford garages are not much help, as they speak as poor English as I do Spanish, and they seem completely clueless about this topic which to me seems quite normal.

I've watched some videos on YT but I don't have any settings in my car to adjust these, and I checked my rear fog lights and it seems I have the same installation on both sides, yet only one comes on when I activate the light..

Does anyone here have any experience with the matter? I've been trying to get this fixed for over a month now and I'm going a bit crazy...

Thank you!

I don’t know for sure on this model but when it’s been discussed for other Fords you would normally you need to replace both the headlights with LHD versions.

Bonjour!

You'll need to replace the headlights with a LHD pair.  Should be easy enough if you can find some in a breakers yard.

The rear fog is more complex though.  If it's a single light low in the bumper you'll need to extend the wiring across to the other side as well as buying the fog lamp itself for that side.
