Ford Focus Zetec 2009 seats replacement

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

I have an option to buy heated leather seats to replace my current seats.

My current seats don't have wiring for the heating but looks like the plugs are the same

So my first  question is if I would go and swap the seats would my current features work ie airbags etc?

My second question is if I want the heated seats to work would that be as easy as getting the wiring from the car that had the seats and the controll panel and swapping that too?

This is pohoto of heated seats plug

And my own plug plus photos of the seats

The leather ones look like they are electric too, so you'll have to wire all that up, so you might as well source the switches and wire the heaters up too

So according to this if I have the original wiring, wires from green will go to new console and blue will go somewhere to relay right?

There'll be no giveaway wiring in your car, you will have to overlay new wiring and probably upgrade the GEM to support

That's why I was thinking about just taking the whole wire looms from the car that the seats were taken from also from the diagram I have seen there should be place for a fuse for heated seats in passanger relay if that's the Gem support

That would be the best idea, upgrade to x4 electric windows while you're at it
