Wing mirror issue

Good morning all,

 

I have recently bought a 65 plater Galaxy and have discovered a little issue. I tried to adjust the mirror but when I press up for example the mirror seems to go in a random direction. Its become a real skill to get the mirrors set correctly. My wife drives the car also and always adjusts the mirrors so Id really appreciate some help on this.

    If the problem with adjusting is with both sides then it is very likely to be the control switch.

    It's probably been taped to the wing upside down, it should be on the door🤪

    Yes here we are, 50 years since Ford last fitted "Wing" mirrors and people still haven't caught on to the new fangled idea of Door mirrors 🤣
