2023 ST going into limp mode

Featured Replies

Hi

I've got a 2023 Focus ST and it keeps disabling remote features to conserve battery life then has gone into into limp mode 4 time since November. Its been back in the garage 3 times and they can't find the fault.

Is there anyone else with an ST or even a Focus having similar issues.

Surely limp mode is triggering a logged fault?

The disabling of remote features to converse battery isn't so much a worry, and may not be related, but it certainly shouldn't be going in to limp mode.

I'd try a different dealer. They should be able to see from the logged faults what is causing the limp mode, or at least where to start looking.

It is but they can find reason why its happening and the fault is showing on their system but they cant find the cause.

All the software etc. is fully up to date, and battery is fully charged

So what DTC has been logged ?

You need to charge your battery, don't expect that the car will simply fully charge it.

Could be two unrelated faults. For limp mode, I know it sounds obvious but check for low oil. There is no low oil warning light so unless you check it regularly that could be an issue.
