Air Bag light 2014 Focus

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am after some advice please. My air bag light has come on after the people that cleaned my car said that they unplugged the wire under one of my seats whilst hovering it out. I borrowed a code reader from a friend and it came up with the code in the attached picture. Does this mean that the Restraint control module needs changing and if so where in the car is it located please?

Many thanks

U3000 is only a communication error. Probably caused by the connector being disconnected. If the connector has been put back (make sure it is pushed fully home) then you can use FORScan to clear all DTC's and the light will go out.

If it came undone after being knocked then the pins are probably adrift in the connector and not making contact.

Disconnect plug and ensure all the wires are pushed fully in to the connector and reconnect

Disconnect the battery

is the cable now reconnected, have you checked the airbag settings in  the vehicle settings in the radio menu, have you tried disconnecting the battery wait 10 minutes and then reconnect it see if it searches and resets the airbag control
