Brake line repair

Focus 2010 has needed a rear left caliper and hose replacement.  The connecting copper pipe has snapped off an inch behind the nut (the nut had seized onto the brake line)16903877046642086971741045552639.thumb.jpg.12c26a4dae61cfd8bc75f23273e0424d.jpg.

 

I propose to get a cheap flaring kit and the required parts but don't know what diameter the tubing and nut head is.  I believe the nut head is 10mm in order to fit the brake hose but will 3/16" tube do? (I thought we were all metric now LOL)

If anyone knows, I'd be grateful of the advice.
