Possibly, with glass polish

If you can feel it with your finger nail - no...

Only a part can be felt with the finger nail a bit. Most part no.

Update.

Problem solved with a pen eraser. Most part is not visible.

What you removed was a greasy mark, a scratch in glass cannot be removed with a rubber LOL 🤣

Perhaps but it seems better. I will try again some more.

Use this for small scratches in glass...

This one for those really big scratches in glass 🤣

No need to respond!

I remember accidentally scratching a windscreen years ago with an ice scraper.

I spent hours working on it with Arm and Hammer toothpaste 🤣

It did make it a lot less noticeable to be fair ... but I wouldn’t use that stuff anywhere near my teeth!

Who doesn't love a minty windscreen 🤣

Tried toothpaste (white), baking soda with water and other stuff, only the pen eraser did work.

The difference is noticeable.

Toothpaste is a mild abrasive. If you have a very mild scratch on a watch glass (can't be felt with a finger nail!), it'll still take around 4 hours of solid polishing to make any difference. Some folk think that a 5 minute rub will solve, it won't!

If you can feel it with your fingernail, it's too deep to polish out. Common sense will tell you that you need to create a crater where the blemish is in the glass to get the surface smooth, that won't happen.

Restoration kits for headlights don't work on glass, only plastic lenses as glass is totally different.

If the 'scratch' has been caused by a stone chip, there are methods of filling it with a pseudo plastic resin to make it optically more acceptable, but that is not 'polishing' it out...

The scratch was caused by a windscreen squeegee in a gas station.

Now.

I will take a picture later when it will be shady.

You need to see a doctor or specialist ASAP if you go around licking car screens 👅 😇

To see how it looks. When there isnt so much light perhaps it will be more visible.

It is a bit blurred on that spot.

But not very visible. Almost vanished. When there is not so much sunlight it is a bit visible from inside.

I dont say that this would work on each case.

If I had access to the famed Hydron Collider, a scientific device which can study the smallest elements of our planet, I still could not locate my interest in this scratch 🤣

Cerium oxide is what jewellers use for polishing gem stones, I assume it would also work on glass?

As I keep saying, if you can feel a scratch in a glass windscreen with your fingernail, no amount of polishing with anything will 'polish' it out... It works on gemstones (I use to manage a jewelers), because often with wear, they will pick up micro scratches which may be able to be polished out. (Similar to the way T/Cut works) Oh, if you're thinking of cleaning the Mrs emerald ring in that ultrasonic you bought, don't. Emeralds have micro fissures internally and could shatter 🤣

Is there a scratch? or just for polishing?
