Hi there, 

 

Fiesta mk7.5 13 plate, yesterday when driving I had a yellow spanner and and warning saying engine malfunction service now come up on my dash, since restarting the car it’s gone and hasn’t reappeared. I checked the codes and it’s saying turbo overboost. Is there any possible easy fixes for this before I take it into the garage?

    Which engine?

    Overboost is usually caused by the turbo wastegate or VNT vanes not opening correctly.  Worth checking the vacuum pump and pipework, as well as the boost solenoid and turbo actuator itself.  There are differences to those depending on which engine it is though.
