Has Anyone Tinted Their Own Windows? (That Isn't A Professional)

Featured Replies

Has anyone tinted their own windows? If so how did it go? Was it hard?

The reason I ask is that I'm only 17 and I'm paying for everything I do on the car (understandbly) And I am willing to spend the 200-300 to get my windows tinted but if doing it myself won't make much difference I'd rather put the money into something esle.

noprobs i just shopped around tho there was only 3 places in my area that did it. where you from?

having tried to tint windows myself, i would leave it to a pro. i tried to use a very expensive film (that i got for a bargain price) and still couldnt do it well so theres definetly a 'nack' to it.

i would expect to pay up to £150 for 5 windows

My 5 door Mk7 zetec didnt have tinted windows. My local Ford dealer did £150 for windscreen and front 2 light, and dark rear passenger and back window.

Check out my forum sig!

Hope this helps!
