60 plate 2011 focus sport 1.6. 
battery died acer not being used for a few weeks. Charged it and went to start it, transmission malfunction came up and no attempt to turn over. Replaced battery as under warranty and exactly the same happened. Can’t start it and just has transmission malfunction warning in red and red light and a beep when you turn ignition on. 
banging the dash doesn’t work either..

any solutions or ideas?

    Now that you’ve changed the battery You could try getting the codes cleared and see if it starts then.

    Did a bit of YouTube watching replaced the 3amp mini fuse that is for the immobiliser and It started straight away. Thank goodness
