Hi does anyone have information on focus MK2 2005 passenger door wiring. Problem with door lock motor. I have bought a new one put does not seem to get any power and all the wire's going to it are black so try to work out which wire is meant to be power. I found two wire's broken that I fixed and now the window works but still no locking unlocking. Any help on were to check or were to check on door control module or fuses would be great.

Do you get the warning on the instrument cluster that the door is open even when it is fully closed ?

If the car thinks the door is open then you get no power to the door lock. The car will not try to lock the car while it believes the door to be in the open position.

Have you replaced the actual latch on the side of the door ? If yes, then you must have a fault (open circuit) in the wires for the door latch switch. Until you can clear the "Door Open" indication from the instrument cluster the door lock will not operate.

This is the wiring for a 2008 model, it will be similar but wire colours will probably be different.

 

Thanks for that. I look at it again and it was the micro switch for the door open in the latch.
