TPMS playing up - why?

Featured Replies

Hi.

When I start my 2015 diesel Fiesta in the morning a warning chime goes off with the message 'check tyre pressures'. I reset the system and it doesn't go off again all day, even if I leave the car for a few hours.

But every morning the same thing happens. I get the same warning and have to reset the system.

All the TPMS valves are good (three are brand new) and all are communicating with the car. The tyre pressures are correct.

I have plugged in a OBD reader and there are no faults showing.

Any suggestions would be welcome!

Why only 3 new valves?  If the battery in the 4th is getting old it may be struggling a bit when cold.

Yes, it's annoying. My October 22 Titanium kept complaining at random times during winter. I then reset the warning every time but it still kept happening. Eventually I let the tyre pressures down a few PSI, reset the warning and then pumped them up to normal to give it some leeway before it thought they were low. I haven't had a warning since.
