Reverse camera distorted image on MK3

Featured Replies

In about 8 out of 10 times, when I put the car in reverse, the factory fitted reverse camera on my MK3 (2012) gives me a distorted image. When it doesn't do this, it's as clear as normal. The display itself is perfect too, it's just the reverse camera.

Do you think this is the camera itself, the module (mine has a module in the boot side cover I think) or the wiring?

Image attached when I put it in reverse.

Thanks

That looks like HF interference. Do you have a dash cam fitted ? or the other possibility is the connector of the cameras wiring harness in the boot has be come loose.
